Valicia Christine Benitez

Valicia Benitez was born May 21, 1994 to Omar Benitez and Alicia Gomez in Roswell, NM. 

Valicia was a beloved daughter, sister and mother.

Valicia’s greatest love in this world was being a mother to her two beautiful daughters, Annalicia and Adalena. She enjoyed being around her family, especially her brothers and sister. There was never a dull moment with Valicia in the room, laughing, clowning on her siblings, or bonding over their shared interest. She was an avid reader, she enjoyed writing stories and poetry, she loved drawing and listening to music. Our loss is great and she will be immensely missed.

Those left to cherish Valicia’s memory are her daughters, Annalicia de los Santos and Adalena Benitez of Roswell, NM; her parents, Alicia Gomez, Salvador Marin Sr. and Omar Benitez; brothers, Salvador Marin Jr., Dominic Marin, Omar Benitez Jr., Gilbert Benitez, Johnathon Benitez and David Talamantes; sister Rosaline Marin.

Valicia was preceded in death by her grandmother Ambrosia Lara; grandmother, Guadalupe Serna; brother, Omar Benitez Jr., cousin, Alfred Sedillo Jr.

Serving as pallbearers are Salvador Marin Jr., Manuel Marin Jr., Dominic Marin, Mario Barraza, Ezequiel Marin, and Arturo Barraza.
