Will Jones

Will R. (Bill) Jones, age 86, passed from this life to the hereafter on July 25, 2017 at the Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center in Alamogordo, NM after a brief illness. A viewing will be held 12:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., Friday, August 4, 2017 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will be held at South Park Cemetery 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 5, 2017 in Roswell, NM.

Will Raymond Jones was born to the late Francis L. and Opal (Gass) Jones on Valentine's Day in 1931. He was an adventurer and outdoorsman who loved hiking, camping, and dancing. He was a soft-spoken man and loved the simple things in life. Being an exceptional painter by trade, he brightened many people's lives with his talent, both in Roswell and Alamogordo. Throughout his years, Will found solace and comradery in the Fraternal Order of The Eagles, The Elks Lodge, and the Moose Lodge.

Will was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Bobby, Carl, Clarence, J.C., Theodore, and a brother that died at infancy; as well as a sister Dorothy Hutchinson.
He is survived by one brother Frank L. (Mutt) Jones of Roswell, NM; sister Corinne Stewart of Colorado Springs, CO. He is also survived by three sons Jimmy Jones, Raymond Jones, and Mike Jones; as well as his beloved significant other Nora (Sam) Roberts and her daughters. In addition, left to cherish his memory are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
