Warren Kiess

A funeral service will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church for Warren Hersh Kiess, who passed away on June 19, 2015. Pastor Robert Paul will be officiating. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.
Warren Hersh Kiess was born to Warren C. and Perma H. Kiess on April 10, 1923 in Allentown, PA.
He served in the United States Army during WWII, earning several medals. He attended Bannon Tech School in Lancaster, PA, where he learned watchmaking and repair.
He married Marian J. Ostling on March 29, 1946 in Allentown, PA who preceded him in death on May 10, 1979. They had two children, Ed Kiess and Anne McBrayer. He married Joyce Lauderdale September 13, 1981 in Roswell, NM.
Warren was a certified master watchmaker. He moved to Roswell with his wife, Marian in 1958 from Tallahassee, FL. He was employed at Huff's Jewelry store until 1979. He then went to work at Bullocks Jewelry store until he retired in September of 1996. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
He is preceded in death by Marian and a stepson, Kelly Lauderdale.
He is survived by his wife Joyce, son, Ed Kiess; daughter, Anne McBrayer; step-sons, Dwayne Lauderdale, Phillip Lauderdale and Wilson Lauderdale; grandchildren, Michael McBrayer, Amber Garcia; step-grandchildren, Holly Perry, Heather Willingham, Heath Lauderdale, Eric Lauderdale, Michael Lauderdale, Jana Johnson and ten great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in his name to Immanuel Lutheran Church School, 1405 N Sycamore, Roswell, NM 88201.
