Walter Dennis Costello

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Walter Dennis “Dennis” Costello, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend, who left us on September 24, 2025, at the age of 62.

Dennis was born on June 10, 1963, in Tucson, Arizona, to Walter D. Costello and Barbara L. Williams. He grew up with a strong sense of family and a kind heart that touched all who knew him. Dennis was a very giving person, always ready to help others and share his time, love, and support.

Dennis proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1982 to 1984. He received an honorable discharge after serving at Fort Hood, Texas, and overseas in Germany. His dedication and service to his country will always be remembered with gratitude and respect.

Throughout his life, Dennis worked at Furr’s Supermarket and Safeway Supermarket in Roswell, New Mexico. He later spent time in Anchorage, Alaska, where he worked for Cisco Foods and on commercial fishing boats, spending months out at sea.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda, at the family home; his daughters, Delanie Costello and Tenaya Boone; his son, Andrew Gordon; and four grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sisters, Glenda Scacci and Candie Mundy, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will treasure his memory.

Dennis was preceded in death by both of his parents, Walter D. Costello and Barbara L. Williams.

A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Addiction Recovery Services in his memory.

Dennis’s presence will be deeply missed, but his generous spirit and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
