EMERSON, TONY ALLEN - A funeral service for Tony Allen Emerson, age 70 of Roswell, NM will be at 9:30 AM, Saturday, March 2, 2019 at West Alameda Church of Christ with Mike Suddeth officiating. The family will be accepting visitation from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Friday, March 1, 2019 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. Tony passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at his home peacefully surrounded by the love of his family.

Tony was born May 6, 1948 to Travis "Ray" Emerson and Carry "Marie" Sanders in Roswell, NM.

Tony was a member of West Alameda Church of Christ; an Assistant Scout Master Troop #72, since 1991; Troop #72Committee Chairman member; Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrows; Cub Scout Day Camp Director; District Award of Merit, Silver Beaver, and Rio Hondo District Committee Member.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Marie Emerson; brother, Travis Emerson, and granddaughter Karri "Nicole" Emerson.

Tony's memory will be cherished by his wife, Melba Emerson of the family home; son, Tim Emerson (Michelle) of Lake Arthur, NM; daughters, Tonya (Billy) Pritchard of Roswell, NM and Teena Mann (Dickey) of Duncan, OK; brother, Terry Emerson of Lubbock, TX; sister, Carol Sneed of Puerto Rico; Grandchildren, Traci Fierro (Gabriel) of Artesia, NM; Shaley Pritchard of Roswell, NM; Starla Barrow (Brandon) of Pelzer, SC; Chey Hixon of Duncan, OK; Thomas Mann of Roswell, NM; MacKayla Walden of Lake Arthur, NM; Taylor Emerson of Lake Arthur, NM; Tristan Emerson of Lake Arthur, NM; Samantha Walden of Lake Arthur, NM. Tony was blessed with 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Serving as pallbearers will be his Grandsons, Shaley Pritchard, Thomas Mann, Taylor Emerson, Tristan Emerson and BSA Troop #72 Eagle Scouts.

The family ask that memorial contributions be made in Tony's name to the Boy Scouts of America.
