The family has asked that everyone attending his Funeral Service honor Tommy, and as a tribute to his love of hunting, to not mourn him in black; rather to celebrate his life by wearing your camo clothes, camo hat and casual clothes.

Tommy Dale Barnett was born July 10, 1970 in Roswell, NM to Clyde Glynn Barnett and Tudy (Daniel) Barnett.

Tommy was a H-Vac Tech for close to 25 years. He was a hard worker and worked many years at Fulkerson as a H-Vac Technician. He attended Roswell HS, class of 1988. As anyone who knew him can testify to, Tommy never met a stranger. He was instant friends with everyone. Saying no to anyone in need was not who he was. He was always willing to help someone out. Many calls came to him in the middle of the night, from someone asking for his help. Tommy was INTENSELY loyal to his family & friends and would do anything for them! He always had that sweet smile on his face. This man had a heart of gold! He will be dearly missed by so many people.

He is survived by his beloved wife Twilla Kay Barnett, sons: Kyle Barnett, Layne Sanders and Luke Sanders, his dad Glynn Barnett and his wife Judy, his sister (sis) Glenda Martinez, nephews Daniel Martinez, Erik Martinez and his wife Sarah, and great nieces/nephews: Lexie, Cassie, Junior and Brody Martinez.

A few words from those who would like to say something...

Twilla Barnett: Tommy was my world and was my heart and soul, my funny man. His face and smile still melts my heart every time! I love him more than words can say. It was an honor to be your wife. I will see you again my Honey Bunny!

Kyle Barnett: Dad, I'm still not sure what I am going to do without you. I know we didn't always see eye to eye, but you were always there for me when I needed you. I'm going to miss you more than you will ever know. Thank you for all the advice, hunting trips, fishing trips, and most importantly, being my dad. I wouldn't be who I am today without you. You were my hero. I hope that I can be half the man you were. Love you- kboodle
Luke Sanders: Thank you for everything you've done for me since I was 2 years old. I know we had our differences, but we worked through them as a family. We grew stronger together and we've realized that you're the greatest. Even though I didn't say it much, I really did in my heart love you. I will miss you greatly! You've taught me so many things that I will never forget.

Daniel Martinez: The Great Chase One of the many fondest memories has to be the time when we went from my mom's house to Enchanted Hills on our 3-wheelers. We rode the whole way there in bar-ditches, across highways and even over some fences LOL! But when we arrived at our destination we commenced to chasing rabbits! That was the Main Goal! We both finally cornered one on the "smooth" side and man oh man was the "chase on". I was on the left and you on the right, and that poor rabbit right in front of us. Well needless to say, that darn rabbit couldn't stay running in a straight line. Well, he cut left to my side and I was right there right on him. Within 40 yards of chasing him after he split, there was a little berm. Well that berm didn't stop me until I hit the ground on the other side of it. Oh yeah, the only cactus patch out there helped too!! LOL, LOL...Well after the dust settled, here comes Tom! First thing out of his mouth was, "Did ya get him?" I told him, "Well Hell NO! That cactus got in my way." All Tom could do was laugh. Well I stripped down BUTT naked right out in the middle of that field and commenced to pulling cactus out. Oh yeah, that rabbit was probably right next to Tom, laughing! LOL! Well after we thought I had all the cactus out, we rode home. Well after that next week, Tom came back out to the house and we started talking about the Great Rabbit Chase. I told him I had a spot on my knee that was bothering me. Well we got our handy dandy first aid kit, which consisted of a pocket knife and needle nose pliers. We dug that 4" thorn out from behind my knee cap! And during that process, Tom was gagging. Dry heaving! OMG IT WAS GREAT!! Needless to say, the moral of the story, don't ever let Dr. Tommy Barnett do surgery. I still have a limp due to that accident! LOL!
Love ya BOY! You will never know how much you mean to me, my Clan! Love ya! Daniel

Lovingly written by the family.
