Thomas A. Shideler, a beloved husband, brother, uncle and friend, went peacefully to be with the Lord on September 7, 2026, during a hospital stay in Las Cruces, NM. He was 75 years old and was born on February 20, 1951. He married Sharon Titus on August 14, 1971.

He worked as a plumber and communications technician. After many bouts with cancer, he continued to enjoy life to the fullest.

He had an active motor sports racing career as his passion and favorite hobby. He participated in three-wheeler, motorcycle and NHRA Drag Racing events. He enjoyed working on and maintaining those vehicles as well as personal ones.

Those left to treasure and cherish memories of Tom are his wife, Sheri, brothers Ken Huse and Darrell Shideler, sisters Sandy Stanbro, Jan Goetz and Cindy Brittain. Also, by many nieces, nephews and lots of other family members who he enjoyed spending time with.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Marsh Brown and Albert Shideler and wife Doris, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins who had resided in many other states.

Tom/Tommy, you will be greatly missed by your family who loved and respected you. You will also be missed by all the friends you made throughout your life. We love you and miss you and will always remember you. The memories you left behind will continue to live on in the hearts of family and friends.

Thank you for everything you showed us in life – to be courageous, strong, respectful, responsible, hardworking and to love and help each other. Most of all a real fighter and never giving up.

Tom’s ashes will be spread where he requested at his favorite hunting location in beautiful Colorado.
