ROOSEVELT, SPILLMAN J. - Roosevelt J. Spillman was born October 5, 1935 to Roosevelt and Cora Mae Spillman in Extension, LA. Roosevelt passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019 in Roswell, NM.

A funeral service for Roosevelt will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 25, 2019 at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 609 N. 7th St. in Artesia, NM. Interment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery with Pastor Gary Roberts officiating.
Roosevelt grew up in Louisiana along with 27 brothers and sisters, in 1978 he resided in Artesia, NM.

Roosevelt is survived by stepmother, Betty Spillman; daughters, Ella Mathis, Elizabeth Ward, JoAnn Ward, Annie Grant, Lu Ella Ward, Tammy Ward; sons, J.B. Mathis and wife Pam, Henry Ward and wife JoAnn, Willie Ward and wife Doris; numerous grand and great grandchildren. Roosevelt will be missed by all who knew him.

Roosevelt was preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt and Cora Spillman.
