Robert Yeo

YEO, ROBERT W. - Robert W. Yeo, age 98, of Roswell, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015. Services will be Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 11:00 a.m at Rehkamp Funral Chapel in Minneota, Minnesota. Interment will follow at Burton Cemetery.

Robert's favorite scripture was John 1:1-5. He was a deacon at his church in Roswell, NM, where he called home. He was a loving father to his five children. He was a letter carrier for 27 years. Robert graduated from Minnesota High in 1935. Then he attended Northwestern College at St. Paul, graduating in 1940.

Robert was born December 18, 1917 to Albert an Ora Dell Struthers Yeo. He had a brother, Burt E. Yeo; and two sisters, Ada Raymond and Ona Olveson, all preceded him in death except for Ona Olveson.

Robert's mother died when he was 6 years old. His Aunt Sis (Elizabeth) May was his mother figure. He was reared by his father on the family farm which he loved.

Robert W. and Inez Stanton Yeo were married for 60 years. They had five children, Robert Ray Yeo of Independence, MO; James E. Yeo of Quebec City, Philippines; John O. Yeo of Johnston City, IL; Peggy Consentino of Lubbock, TX; Susan E. Smith. He had 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.

Robert married Ruth Hinckley. She passed away in 2004. He married Valita M. Simpson Rollins Yeo on March 8, 2005. Between his last 2 wives he had 7 step-children.

Robert will be remembered by his kind and loving manner to all. He loved the Lord.
