Robert Vance

VANCE, ROBERT JR.- Robert Vance Jr., age 64, of Roswell, NM was born to Robert C. Vance Sr. and Delores Arlene on March 31, 1955. He passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019.

Vance’s memory will be cherished by his wife of 45 years, Janet Vance, his always and forever best friend; son, Chris Vance and wife Jamie, children, Jeffery and Jessica; daughter, Tracy Tucker and husband Truman; daughter, Sally Nichols and husband James, children, Connor Keegan and Graysen; mother, Delores Munson of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Tony Middleton and wife, Andrea of Denver, CO.

He was the husband everyone wanted, the greatest Dad his kids could ever ask for, an above and beyond Grandpa and a great friend. He was kind to all and befriended all he met and left them with an everlasting impression. He always told anyone, whether right, wrong, or indifferent...he'd speak his mind, but left their decisions up to them and supported their choices no matter what. Even if he disagreed, he'd tell you, “if you need me, I'll be there”. He was always a provider and protector first. Our home is where he wanted his family to be. He made it so we would always have somewhere to go for fun. Our best memories with him will always be with our family together at home. He was the one to be feared if you ever got him mad or threatened his family, and a buddy for life if you were a friend. He always was the one to make you laugh. Vance was known as Gentle Giant, he loved his Harley, his boats and his Nascar.

There will be no service per his wishes. In lieu of flowers you may donate as he did, he rode his Harley for Toys for Tots and donated to Paralyzed Vets. Just raise a Coors to Bob and cherish your memories of him. He will be greatly missed by all those who loved him, and his love will last longer than his lifetime.
