Richard Ranft

Richard Steven Ranft went to be with his lord on February 24, 2024with his family at his side. He was 77 years old, born January 3, 1947. In Roswell, NM. To Richard Allen Ranft and Christine (Hughes) Ranft both met him in heaven. Richard grew up in Roswell, NM, after he graduated from high school, he joined the Air force during the Vietnam War. He served two tours in Vietnam. After he was discharged from the Air Force he retired to Roswell, and went to work TMC, after working there for one year, he went to work for South Park Cemetery, where he worked until he retired.

In 1978 he met the love of his life Bonnie Price. After dating for several years, Richard proposed to Bonnie. They later married in 1985. Bonnie had a daughter Gerri, which Richard raised as his own. Richard and Gerri were inseparable. If you saw Richar, you would always see Gerri right next to him. Richard was devastated when Gerri passed away.

Preceded in death are his parents, brother Phillip, and his beloved daughter Gerri.

Richard is survived by the love of his life, Bonnie Ranft.

Services took place on Friday March 1, 2024 at 1pm.
