Nancy was born on November 28, 1929 to Myron and Emma (Bearden) Lovett in Dexter, N.M. The family lived on the Ira Marshall farm until Nancy was 11, when her parents bought the 'help yourself' laundry in Dexter. They lived in the home beside the laundry until 1944 when the family sold that laundry and bought a larger one in Hobbs, N.M. where Nancy completed high school and graduated in 1947. On July 3, 1947 she married the love of her life, Leslie Langston who preceded her in death May 1, 2012.
Leslie and Nancy lived in several West Texas communities while working for Humble Oil Company, (now EXXON) and transferred to Hobbs, NM in 1952. Les worked 12 1/2 years for Humble Oil Company then they decided to go into business for themselves for several years. They had 2 service stations and a trailer house rental business in Hobbs. In 1965 the decision was made to move to Portales, N.M. where both Nancy and Leslie attended Eastern New Mexico University while working full and part time jobs and carrying full credits each semester until graduation. Leslie graduated in 1968 and went to work for Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell campus and Nancy graduated in 1969 and worked as a substitute teacher at the Junior High level, then at the Roswell Public Library. Nancy became the assistant director of the library and on two occasions served as interim director. She left the library for health reasons in 1981.

Nancy enjoyed oil painting and belonged to the Roswell Fine Arts League for about 20 years. She became interested in genealogy and began to write family histories of her own ancestors and Leslie's publishing a number of books, some still sold on Amazon. Leslie had worked as a curriculum specialist in Egypt gathering air travel miles so the couple traveled extensively. They were able to tour in Egypt, Athens and Rome as well as Tahiti, New Zealand, Australia, India, London and Paris. Les and Nancy lived in New Zealand for 5 months while he taught a course there. Nancy loved family and enjoyed hosting family and friends in the home. In March 2016 she hosted nearly thirty family members and was able to have four and five generation pictures made. Nancy is a member of Country Club Road Church of Christ in Roswell, NM.

She was preceded in death by her parents Myron 1952 and Emma 1998 Lovett, her husband Leslie Langston 2012, their son Larry 1951, daughter Evelyn Williams 2014, and granddaughter Tammie (Green) Williford 2011.
