Mary Johnson-Sweet

JOHNSON, MARY LANELL- Mary LaNell Johnson was born February 16, 1930 in Faxon, Oklahoma, to Henry and Faye Johnson. She attended Abilene Christian College, Abilene, Texas one year and has worked as a secretary for several oil companies. She married Reagan Sweet September 20, 1958, in Dexter. The Sweets have lived in Amarillo, Texas, Denver, Colorado, Hobbs, Artesia, and Roswell, New Mexico. They enjoyed their cabin in Ruidoso, N.M. very much. She and Reagan have traveled to more than 30 countries. LaNell's favorite pastime was playing bridge.

LaNell is survived by her sister, Joyce Johnson Bennett and her husband Dave from Richland, Washington and her children Linda, Mike, and Debra Kelley. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Sue Johnson (Bill) of Amarillo, Texas, and children John, Jim, Janna, and Jennifer.

LaNell was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Faye Johnson, an infant brother, Lynn Arnold, and brother, Bill Johnson.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at South Park Cemetery.
