Martha Campbell

Martha P. Campbell, age 74, of Artesia, NM passed away on December 16, 2014. Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm, Friday, December 19, 2014 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. Pastor Jack Ferguson with Tinnie Baptist Church will officiate.
Martha Pearlene Campbell was born in Carnegie, Oklahoma on July 15, 1940 to Willie Mathews and Gillie Rozzell Mathews both preceded her in death.
She is also preceded by all her siblings, 2 sons Gary, Charlie Russell, her first husband J.B. Russell, 2 grandsons, 1 grandaughter, and 1 great grandaughter.
She was one of 10 children, 5 boys and 5 girls. She was married to Herb Campbell for the last 8 years. They lived in Artesia and ran a produce stand. She was in Artesia at the time of her death.
She is survived by 7 sons, Johnnie and Janet Russell of Roswell, Lester and Patricia Russell of Artesia, Willie and Beverly Russell of Roswell, Raymond and Sandra Russell of Jal, Michael Russell of Roswell, Adam and Valerie Russell of Levelland TX, Rodney and Stancie Russell of Muleshoe TX, 1 daughter Angie Russell and fianc, Aubrey Hobson of Artesia. She is also survived by 42 grandchildren and 60 great grandchildren.
Martha was a big bluegrass music fan and truly enjoyed listening to her kids sing and play. She was a former member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Roswell.
Pallbearers will be Johnnie Russell, Lester Russell, Willie Russell, Raymond Russell, Michael Russell, Adam Russell, Rodney Russell and Aubrey Hobson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be all of her grandsons.
Arrangements are under the personal care of LaGrone Funeral Chapel.
