Lester Joe Bross was born on August 3rd, 1933 in Buckholts Texas and passed away peacefully on August 19th, 2026 in Las Cruces, NM. Lester is preceded in death by his mother Marguerite (Shelton) Bross and father Hinche Augustus (Gus) Bross, sister Patty Marlene (Bross) Whitebody, and his wife of 55 years Marijo (Hart) Bross.

Lester is survived by his two daughters Valerie Sue Bross, and Melanie Lynn (Bross) Nye, three grandchildren, Anna M. Nye, Michael Adam Nye, and Angela L. (Nye) Gonzales, and four great grandchildren Daniel R. Willows, Samuel O.A. Gonzales, Claire A. Cobb, and Olivia D.A. Gonzales.

Lester joined the U.S. Army in 1954 and served his country for 20 years. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served two tours of duty there in 1966 and 1969. He retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 3 in 1974 at Fort Bliss Texas.
