Judson Pruitt McKnight (Juddy) was born July 18, 1919 in Roswell, NM to Thomas Jud McKnight and Nannie Joyce Potts. He passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020 in Roswell, NM.
Juddy grew up on a sheep ranch in Picacho and in Roswell, where he graduated from Roswell High School in 1939. He married Beulah Lassiter in 1939 and they were married nearly 75 years, until she preceded him in death in 2014. They spent many years working the ranch and traveling.
Juddy is survived by daughter, Judy Kelley and husband, Kap; son Douglas McKnight; nine grandchildren, Mark Kelley (Christa), Mike Kelley (Tammy), Jennifer Taylor (Kerry), Martin Kelley, Mitchell Kelley, Joseph McKnight, Sonya McKnight, Thomas McKnight, and Nathan McKnight; nine great grandchildren, Marisa, Rochelle, M.J., Kayse, Kelsy, Kolby, Lane, Alexandra, and Joseph Douglas; seven great-great grandchildren, JJ, Angel, Rhianna, Jazzy, Ravyn, Piper, Dominic.
Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Deck, Kerry Taylor, Kelsy Taylor, Kolby Taylor, M. J. Kelley, and JJ Kelley.
Honorary pallbearers are John Cooper, brother-in-law; nephews Pancho McKnight and Jud Cooper, Friends Scott McNally, Gilbert Gomez, and Gene Gilgorea.
