James (Cherry) Ellison Weathers

A graveside service for James Ellison “Cherry” Weathers age 82, of Roswell, NM will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 16, 2023 at General Douglas L. McBride Veteran Cemetery. Jim passed away Friday, October 27, 2023, in Albuquerque, NM.

Jim was born January 2, 1941, to Luther Basil Weathers and Eva Lou Marie Elizabeth Rogers in Amarillo, TX. He graduated from NMMI and served his country as a CPL E4 Dental Technician in the Army.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Basil “LB” and Eva Lou Marie Elizabeth Weathers, and sister-in-law, Carol Ann Weathers.

Those left to cherish Jim’s memory are his daughter, Jamie Cherie Warner (and husband Craig) of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Carol Jane Delatorre of Port Angeles Washington; granddaughter, Tiara Kanoelaninoheapumehana Delatorre of Phoenix, AZ; brother, LB “Rusty Weathers and brother, Tommy Weathers (and wife Linda).
