Jack Retherford

Jack was born July 17, 1928 in Pineland, TX. He entered the Military, Army air corp. in 1947 and served faithfully for 22 years, plus another 20 years in the Federal Aviation Administration. (F.A.A).
He was stationed at Alaska, Thailand, and Okinawa, Japan. Jack was married to his buddy's sister Etelka Jane Hall, from Springfield, IL. And has been happily married for 70 years. Soon afterwards, while serving in Alaska, both Jack and his wife Jane met their Savior, Jesus Christ, and Jack introduced multiple Airmen to the Lord. In fact, one year the church had a contest that whichever young person invited the most guests, would win a Bible. Guess who won?!
Jack and Jane loved R.Ving, with friends at time, in all of 48 states! Also Mexico and Canada. He entered his eternal rest on June 2, 2019.
Preceded in death was Jane and Jack's son David Retheford, of Gaithersburg, MD. On August, 6, 1982.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Jane, of Roswell, NM, and one daughter, Jean Cress of Albuquerque, NM. Grand children are Stephanie Stewart- Cannon Airforce Base, Clovis, David Michael Retherford, Jaime Stark of Albuquerque, NM, and several other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jack was dearly loved by his family and friends. A viewing will be held from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM at LaGrone Funeral Chapel on Thursday, June 6, 2019. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM at South Park Cemetery Friday, June 7, 2019 for Jack.
