SANDERS, IDAMAYE - Viewing for Idamaye Newman Sanders, age101, of Roswell, NM will be held 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Thursday, November 15, 2018 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, November 16, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church with Pastor John Guthrie officiating. Interment will follow at Portales Cemetery in Portales, NM. Idamaye passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018.

Idamaye was born July 25, 1917 to William Claudius Newman and Agnes May Martin in Santa Anna, TX. Ida Maye enjoyed life, she was a member of First Presbyterian Church, and she traveled all over the world and was part of Senior Olympics, Bridge Club and the Country Club. She kept busy with her many hobbies of which she was very good at crochet, needlepoint, quilting, ceramics, stain glass and calligraphy.

Idamaye is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Alma, Grover and William; also her sons, Bobby Gene Moore and Lonnie Dean Moore.

Those left to cherish her memory, her brother John Newman and wife Opal of Colorado; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, Idamaye will be greatly miss by all.
