HANSON, HAROLDServices are scheduled for 9:00 A.M., Saturday, July 29, 2006 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Harold A. Hanson, age 92, of Roswell, who passed away Wednesday July 26, 2006 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Pastor Richard Grisham of Bethel Baptist church will officiate. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Harold was born March 19, 1914 in Byron Township, Minnesota to Carl R. and Olive A. Hanson.

Harold married the love of his life, Marie King on June 4, 1976 in Roswell. She preceded him in death on April 25, 1997.

br
Harold didnt have children of his own, but when he married Marie, he inherited a very large family who loved him dearly.

br
He is survived by his step daughters: Billie Ray of Roswell, Elizabeth Choc Lovelady of Farmington; nephews: Johnny Hanson of Roswell, Carlos Jones of San Antonio, TX, Bobby Jones of De Sote, TX; nieces: Carma Tankersley of Roswell, Carlyon Mobley and her husband Merle of Stockton, CA and Eulalia Nichols of Houston, TX; 14 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.

He is also survived by Brother-in-laws and Sister In-laws; Leamon Metcalf and his wife Marie, J.C. Metcalf, Jr. and his wife Nancy, Lucille Nunnally and her husband Curtis, all of Roswell and Martha Ridgway of Modesto, CA; several great nieces and nephews, and his special friends and caregivers, Johnny and Yolanda Franco.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Joe, Carl and Allen; sisters: Pernina Daly and Viola Jones; two step-daughters: Carolyn Sneed and Virginia Guynes and a step son-in-law Larry Rayone grandson Rick McPherson.

Harolds family came to New Mexico in 1918 and settled in Hagerman as farmers. He remained with his families farm until the early 1970s. He managed Trigg farms and Schrimsher farm until his retirement in 1982. After his retirement, Harold and Marie went on many enjoyable trips.

br
He loved hunting, fishing, boating and wood crafts.

nbsp;
br
Harold will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

nbsp;
br
Pallbearers will be Cody Buckelew, Allen Melton, Gary Simmons, Larry Randolph, Johnny Franco and Gino Romero.
