Geraldeen Baptista

BAPTISTA, GERALDEEN MAE - Geraldeen Mae Baptista , age 78, of Roswell passed away Friday, March 11, 2016. No services will be held at this time.

She was born to Hector McKinnon and Gladys Sorenson on July 14, 1937 in Albany, California. She was married to Joe Baptista who preceded her in death. Geraldeen loved her family and her dogs. She was always feeding the dogs "people food." She loved to laugh and never met a stranger. Travel with family was another thing she loved. In 2012 she moved to Roswell to live with her son and his family. She was cared for by all who loved her. Mrs. Baptista was a retired caregiver.

Geraldeen is survived by her son Darryl Burkfield and his with Crystal of Roswell and her son Kevin Burkfield and his wife Isabel of California. She is also survived by her sister Patricia Ann Hoffman of California. Geraldeen had eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Baptista was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Ryan Charles Burkfield and Bruce Thomas Burkfield.
