George Elkins

ELKINS, JR., GEO. T.- Geo. T. Elkins, Jr., March 4, 1929 to December 24, 2018

George became a memory on Monday, December 24th. He was at home with his wife Billie Jo and family. Born in McMinnville, Tennessee, George married Billie Jo Fears February 14, 1953 in Abilene, Texas. They were together over 65 years and raised three sons and two daughters. Their five children gave them 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

God granted George time to find peace and experience love and compassion from his family, a host of caregivers and close friends. His last breath in Roswell, N.M. was of elm leaf, dairy dust and candles. He has crossed the line that shields the rest of us from the mask of death. Our hearts will refill with God's grace and rays of sun in the days ahead of us. We seek comfort in God's mercy. May he rest in peace, In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Funeral services for George will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 29, 2018 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.
