Gale Yocom

A visitation will be held Sunday, March 1, 2015 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Monday, March 2, 2015 9:00 am to 12:00 pm for Gale O. Yocom who passed away on February 27, 2015. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, March 2, 2015 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel.

Gale was born January 3, 1951 to Olen and Naoma Yocom in Tucumcari, NM. He loved and cherished his family, and selflessly gave of himself to everyone. Adventurous his entire life, Gale was a scuba diver instructor, skydiver, private pilot, and avid political critic. He had a wonderful sense of humor, caring heart, and protective spirit that could not be measured and will be missed.

Gale is survived by his daughter Tabitha Denny and husband Shawn of Roswell, NM; son, Gale Yocom II and wife, Ashley of Dallas, TX; sisters, Ruby Farmer and husband Larry of Ovilla, TX, Joyce Greaser and husband Les of Kent, WA; brother, Scooter Yocom; grandchildren, Jeff Hill of Wilmington, NC, Alex Borsattino of Dallas, TX, Jacob Mann of Clayton, NC, Grayson Yocom of Dallas, TX, Gage Yocom of Dallas, TX, life partner Kelly Cockrell and daughters Tessa and Lauren Cockrell, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Olen and Naoma Yocom, sisters Margaret Motsenbocker and Wanda Wilcox, nephew Lester Howell.
