Frankie Lacer, age 79, of Roswell passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday February 10, 2016. A memorial service will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday February 16, 2016 at West Country Club Church of Christ. Minister Doug Austin will officiate.
Frankie was born December 16, 1936 to John W. Gentry and Oza Atkins-Gentry in Otero County, New Mexico. She married Billy Charles Lacer and began their family. Frankie graduated from college with a Master's degree in education, she was a school teacher for 25 years; teaching at Valley View and Sunset. After retiring Frankie spent time enjoying her family and watching it grow in number. She was a regular attendee at West Country Club Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her parents John W. Gentry and Oza Adkins-Gentry; and her loving husband Billy Charles Lacer.
She is survived by son Mike Lacer; daughter Hettie Sue Bennink of Lubbock, TX; sister Dinnie Tosh of Clovis, NM; grandchildren Christy Simpson, Mitchell Lacer, Lexie Bennink, Kyler Lacer, Keara Lacer, Miles Lacer, Mike Lacer, Molly Lacer, Kristian Lacer; Great Grandchildren Sarah, Miley, Amelia, Mason, and Tristin.
