Fay Harral

August 25, 1930 — September 1, 2021

Roswell

Fay Harral was called home, peacefully, by her Heavenly Father, on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 as the sun was coming up. With great rejoicing, her family takes comfort in knowing her mind and body is completely restored and she is reunited with her family and precious husband.

Fay was born August 25, 1930, as the youngest of 8 children to John Isaiah Watson and Nancy Emiline (Sharp) Watson, in Shamrock, TX. She grew up and graduated high school in Dora, NM. While at a community function at Milnesand, NM, this sweet young girl of 14 asked a very handsome young man, named Malcolm Harral if he would "pretend" to be with her to ward off the attention of an unwanted suitor and he said YES! That was the start of their courtship. After his service in the Army, Malcolm returned to marry the love of his life on June 7, 1947. They started their new life together farming in Milnesand where they were blessed with their three children. In 1956 they moved to ranch in Melrose. Then, in 1963 they bought their first ranch 13 miles east of Roswell where they raised their family. They were married for 68 1/2 years, before Malcolm passed in 2016. Fay was a devoted wife, supporting him in all the responsibilities of running a ranch and home. You would see them working side by side doing everything that needed to be done to provide a living for their family. Fay was a giver and was always thinking of others, whether she was sewing clothes or sharing her delicious homemade dishes to anyone who needed a little sunshine in their life. She was a great cook and well known for her hot rolls, chocolate chip cookies, sheath cake, casseroles, and roast. Fay was very involved at Calvary Baptist Church and later, at Bethel Baptist Church, and influenced many lives by teaching Sunday School classes, working on committees, and visiting the sick. She was truly Jesus' hands and feet ministering to everyone she came in contact with. Fay blessed so many in her years of serving the LORD that she will surely be missed.

Fay's legacy will live on with her 3 children and their spouses: Ronnie Harral and wife Sharon of Corona; Leland Harral and wife Suzie of Uvalde, TX; Ladonna Pirtle and her husband Randy of Roswell; Nine grandchildren and spouses, Alena Brandenberger and her husband Jeff of Corona; Jerrod Harral and his wife Brittani of Roswell; Montyne Cox and her husband Wayne of Goldthwaite, TX; Clay Harral and his wife Jill of Encino; Marla Jo Grissom and her husband Jeffery of Uvalde, TX; Ryan Pirtle and his wife, Kerri; Jack Pirtle and his wife Lindsey; Cliff Pirtle and his wife Aysia; Keri Lawson and her husband Isaiah all of Roswell. 24 greatgrandchildren with another great grandson due March 1, 2022; Aubrey Carter and husband Coby of Pleasanton, TX; Koelle and Kourtney Brandenberger of Corona; Sydne and Adyson Harral of Roswell; Tyler and Tanner Cox of Goldthwaite, TX; Bradi, Stacy, CJ, and Ava Harral of Encino; Baylee, Kylen, and Callee Jo Grissom of Uvalde, TX; Travis, Avery, Molly, Mazie, Josie, Emmett, Ezekiel, Hamish and Dorthea Pirtle of Roswell; and Kate Lawson of Roswell.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
