SKIPPER, MARIEServices are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 24, 2006 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Marie Skipper, age 80, of Roswell, who passed away July 21, 2006 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Rev. Randy Reeves of Washington Ave. Fellowship will officiate. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Marie was born March 31, 1926 in Paris, Texas to Clayton R. Miller and Etta M. Cox Miller. In 1944 Marie married John F. Janow. She is preceded in death by both parents and John F. Janow.

On August 27, 1976 Marie married William C. Skipper, Sr. in Roswell, New Mexico. He passed way in 1997.

Marie is survived by her 2 daughters: Vickey Howard and her husband Cecil of Ft. Worth, Texas, Joyce Hargrove and her husband Carroll of Roswell; 2 sons: Terry Janow and his wife Mariasari of Albuquerque, David Janow and his wife Gloria of Albuquerque; 4 stepchildren: W.C. Skipper, Jr. and his wife Myrtle of Roswell, Andrew Skipper and his wife Marylon of Roswell, Frances Zarzour and her husband Sam of Maple Heights, Ohio, Shirley Bradley and her husband Bob of California; brothers: Jack Miller and his wife Frances of Virginia Beach, Virginia; 4 grandchildren and many step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and many step-great grandchildren.

Marie retired after 17 years as a secretary and bookkeeper for Culligan Soft Water. She was a member of Washington Ave. Baptist Church. Most importantly she devoted her time and love to her loving family. She was deeply loved by all family members and friends. She will be deeply missed.
