Erma Turner Spurlin

Erma Turner Spurlin passed away at the age of 96 on December 25, 2023, in Roswell NM. Erma was born October 30, 1927, in Pawnee, Texas to Rosco J. Turner and Attie E. Elliot. Erma Married Teddy C. Spurlin on December 24, 1948, in San Antonio, TX. Erma was a  librarian with  the Roswell schools for six years and was a secretary for N.M.M.I  for 13 ½ years.

Erma was survived by her 2 Children. (Son) Robert G. Spurlin and Wife Melody, (Daughters) Tabitha, Autumn, Erica and Granddaughter Aubryn of Roswell, New Mexico area. (Daughter) Karen S. Harrell and Husband Jay of Granbury, Texas. (Daughter) Megan and her husband Andy. (Grandchildren) Tad, Nathan, Roxana and One on the way.

Erma was preceded in death by her Parents: Rosco J. Turner(father), Attie E. Elliot(mother), Brothers: S.E. Turner and Roscoe J. Turner, Jr.  Sister: Azalea T. Bailey, One Infant Son Michael, and Grandson Justin.

Erma was a loving grandmother and very involved in the lives of her grandchildren, sharing her many gifts and talents by sewing dresses, making cookies, and teaching them to sew and do art. She enjoyed traveling with her husband while he was alive and traveling with friends after he passed.

Erma was a member of the College Avenue Church of Christ from 1966 until 1972 when they moved to their new building at 700 West Country Club. She was active in the ministries of the fellowship until her health prevented it. Erma loved her Lord and doing the work of the Lord. Erma loved her family and spending time with them.

A Visitation will be held December 28^th, Thursday from 4PM-6PM at LaGrone Funeral Chapel.

There will be a Celebration of Life in memory of Erma at the 700 West Country Club Road Church of Christ at 11:00 AM December 29^th .  Friday 2023.
