Emily (Lewsader) Johnson

Graveside services for Emily (Lewsader) Johnson 73, of Roswell, NM, will be held Friday, September 22nd, at 10:00 a.m., at South Park Cemetery.

Emily was born May 12th, 1950, to Donald Lewsader and Lillie Opheim in Roswell NM and lived most of her life in her hometown. She went home with our Lord and Savior, September 4th, 2023. Emily spent many years working in the shipping and receiving industry. She enjoyed country music and honky tonkin and family gatherings holiday memories. She will forever be remembered and missed.

Emily was preceded in death by her parents Lillie Opheim and Donald Lewsader and stepfather J. Arthur Opheim and grandparents Earl and Juanita Nilsen and sister Claudia Feinberg and brother Donald Lewsader and nephew Donald Barclay.

Emily is survived by her only daughter Desiree Felker Hernando and her two granddaughters Ebryana and Delilah Barela of Las Cruces. Her Brother Arthur Opheim and wife Clarisa of Roswell N.M. and Nephew Joshua Opheim and his wife Anita and great nephews Shawn and Ryan of Roswell N.M. and her Sister Juanita Dillon partner Wayne Dillon of Roswell NM and her Niece Robin Feinberg of Roswell NM and a Great Nephew Christian Dottridge. A huge thank you to my Uncle Art and Aunt Clarisa for all the care you gave to my mom and the love and support you have given to me during this loss. I love you Desiree Nicole!
