She also had a great love for all children and taught toddler-aged children in Sunday School until she could no longer do so because of her age. She was very gifted in telling Bible stories and teaching memory verses, and she the importance of teaching children from a very early age. Elsie was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Roswell.

No funeral service is scheduled, but her family and friends will remember Elsie as a true servant of Jesus Christ who exemplified the traits described in I Peter 3, including a "meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price." Burial will be in South Park Cemetery under the direction of LaGrone Funeral Chapel.
