(1938-2025)

Ed Crossman passed away on June 8, 2025, at the age of 86 in Roswell, New Mexico where he lived for many years.

Ed was a native of Nashville, Tennessee and graduated from Hillsboro High School. He attended DePauw University in Indiana for his undergraduate degree and received his Master’s in Experimental Psychology from Arizona State University.

He was a college professor for many years at multiple universities along with his wife Sharyn, a very special couple who challenged their students to excel and promoted scholarships for the next generation.

His brilliant mind, humor, love for animals, with encouragement to so many others through education will be remembered and missed.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Christian and Nelle Crossman, and his beloved wife Sharyn Crossman.

He is survived by his brother Jim (Martha) Crossman, his niece Carrie (Truitt) Ellis, his nephew William Crossman, grandnephew and grandnieces Clayton Ellis, Claire Ellis, and Cora Crossman, all of Nashville, Tennessee, extended family, and his caring friends.

Services will be in Roswell, NM with Legrone Funeral Home at South Park Cemetery on Tuesday June 17, 2025 at 11AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to Roswell Humane Society or Roswell Salvation Army in tribute to Ed Crossman.
