Edna Mae Bradley

Edna passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023.

Edna was born September 22, 1930 to Lott Bradley and Pheobie Odom in Bryan, TX. Edna moved to Roswell in 1953and she and her kids joined Galilee Baptist Church. Edna always made sure her kids attended every Sunday. She enjoyed traveling, bingo and on occasions, going to the casino! Edna loved helping others, she worked at St. Mary’s Hospital for 30 years. She loved taking care of people. Edna later joined Mr. Gilead Baptist Church in 2012.

Edna wasn't just a loving mother to her children but also to neighborhood children and anyone her children brought home. She was a mother to all of us and called "Mother" by so many others.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, Lott and Pheobie; brothers, Arthur Butler and Colonel James Bradley; sons, Donald Bradley and Anthony Bradley; daughters, Pamela D. Bradley; granddaughter, Edina A. Bradley.

Those left to cherish Edna’s memory is sons, Claudis R. Bradley of Roswell, NM, Thomas K. (Peggy) Bradley of Roswell, NM, Rodney Bradley of Roswell, NM; daughters, Beverly Bradley of Roswell, NM, Susan Scott of Marysville, CA, Sharla Bradley of Lewisville, TX, and Kimberly Bradley of Roswell, NM. Edna was also blessed with 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Harper, George Rabb, A.J. Scott, Walter Green, Eric Reed and Greg Scott. Honorary pallbearers are Patricia Bradley, Dawn Reed, Latoya Bradley, Sybil Bradley, Cassandra Whitaker, Pamela M. Bradley, Sherrae Scott, Monica Elliott, Dana Bradley and Nicole Bradley.

The family would like to give a “Thank you” to each of the many caregivers who helped take care of our mom and special thanks to Valerie Ellison and Faye Barnett for taking care of mom for so many years.
