Duane Richard Green

Duane Richard Green, of Roswell, NM, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 17, 2024. He was 79 years old. Duane was born on April 24, 1945, to Warford and Dorese Green in Vicksburg, MS. He grew up in San Bernadino, CA, where he graduated from high school in 1962. After graduating, Duane joined the Air Force and was stationed at Walker Airforce Base in Roswell. It was there he met the love of his life and wife of 38 years, Linda Estes Green. 

Duane was a business owner in Roswell for over 40 years and was active in his local church, city politics, and various boards. Duane enjoyed classic cars, home projects, and was always available to help anyone who needed a hand. 

Duane is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan, and Suzanne Green and three grandchildren, Karis, Declan, and Ezra Green, all of Argyle, TX. He also leaves behind two brothers and their spouses, David and Deon Green, Dwight and Mary Green, a sister, Faith Lewis, stepsiblings Jeanette Stone, Virginia Webb, and Linda Carrier, as well as sister-in-law, Nadine Estes, brother-in-law James Estes and his wife Terri Estes, and ten nieces and nephews.

Duane was preceded in death by both of his parents and his wife Linda Green. 

A private graveside service will be held to honor Duane.
