Dott Bingham

March 21, 1938 — February 27, 2017

Dott Darlene (Smith) Bingham, age 78, passed away Friday February 24, 2017. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday March 1, 2017 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will take place at South Park Cemetery. Pastor Lonnie Owens of Christ's Church will be officiating.

Dott Darlene (Smith) Bingham was born March 21, 1938 to George Willard Smith Jr. and Evelyn Reva (King) Smith of Roswell, NM. She graduated from Roswell High School in 1956. Dott married Glen Dale Bingham and they made their home in Roswell, NM. Dott and Glen had four children, Rick, Linda, Candy Callaway and her husband Robert all of Roswell, and Tammy Weber and her husband Alan of Halstead, KS.

Dott was preceded in death by her parents, son Rick and daughter Linda.

Dott worked for Acme Sand and Gravel, then later at Roswell State Bank/First Interstate Bank. Upon retirement Dott loved to travel with friends and visited many places all over the United States. One of her favorite past times was gardening.

Dott loved her family and it has grown to include seven grandchildren; Michael Thompson and his wife Shelby of Lubbock, TX, Jennifer Ragsdale and her husband Billy of Roswell, NM, Lauren Everett and her husband Jaron of Floydada, TX, Kimberly Richardson of Roswell, NM, Sydney Bush of Halstead, KS, Blake Bush of Halstead, KS, and Dylan Bingham of Roswell, NM. She was blessed with eleven great grandchildren; Ryley, Sinjin, Austyn, Macey, Logan, Jaxon, Evelyn, Ryley, Ella, Johnathan, Adakis. She was known as "Memaw" to all of the grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank Dott's caregivers Cindy Carlos and Elvira Simons. They were a wonderful blessing to Dott and the entire family.
