Dorothy Brewington

BREWINGTON, DOROTHY T. DOTA Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 16, 2006 at St. Peters Catholic Church for Dorothy T. Dot Brewington, age 87, of Roswell, who passed away September 13, 2006 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Fr. Benedict Begin, OFM will officiating.

Family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, September 15, 2006 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel.

Dot was born October 13, 1918 in Hereford, Texas, to Frank and Mary Benke who preceded her in death.

She married Robert Brewington on January 10, 1947 in Roswell, New Mexico. He survives her at the family home.

Dot is survived by her husband: Robert Brewington of 59 years. Her children: Robert L. Brewington, Jr. of Roswell, Betty Bartlett and her husband Dick, of Rock Hill, SC, Jim Brewinton and his wife, Teressa of Conroe, TX, Kathy Coleman and her husband George, of Roswell, Linda Brewington of Livonia, MI, John Brewington and his wife Janie, of Roswell and Mike Toby Brewington of Roswell; her sisters: Bertha Gosciewski of Renton, WA, Helen Pretorius, of Plano, TX; her brother: Frank Benke of Pittsburg, Pa; also surviving her are nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Dot was very loving and caring person who always took the very best care of her children. She loved all of the holidays and made sure they were very special times for her kids. Dot loved everyone unconditionally and will be missed very much by those who knew her.

Memorials can be made to American Heart Association in lieu of flowers.
