Connie Florez

FLOREZ, CONNIE-  Connie Florez age 91, of Roswell, NM passed away Monday, June 15, 2020.

Graveside service for Connie will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Memory Lawn Memorial Park.

Connie was born March 13, 1929 in Roswell, NM to Julian Garcia and Guadalupe Gonzalez.

Connie was a great homemaker, she enjoyed spending time, cooking and taking care of her family. Connie and her husband, George owned “George’s Little Valley Club” in Dexter, NM. She was a seamstress and took pride in making her daughters and grandchildren their cloths, also enjoyed quilting and gave them to family as gifts.

Those left to cherish Connie’s memory are her sons, Larry Joe (Eladio) Flores and Tony Florez; daughters, Linda Copeland and Patricia Florez; brothers, Charlie Garcia, David Garcia and Gilbert Garcia; sisters, Toni Bates and Nancy Garcia. Connie was blessed with 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Preceding Connie in death are her parents, Julian and Guadalupe; husband, George Florez, and brothers, Joe Garcia, Richard Garcia.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Copeland, K.W. Copeland, Kaleb Yalch, Larry Joe (Eladio) Flores, Chris Bass, and Michael Yalch. Honorary pallbearer will be Joshua Yalch, and Jakob Johnson.
