Cleta Coen

COEN, CLETA- Cleta Coen, longtime resident of Roswell, NM. Passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018 at home surrounded by family. Cleta was born April 12, 1934 in Lawton Oklahoma to Albert and Ruth Nease.  Losing her mother at the age of 3, she was raised by her paternal grandparents Zed and Agnes Nease.

Cleta was active in the NMFRW, Silver Circle, and frequent volunteer with Harvest Ministries.  She enjoyed accompanying her ex-husband on motorcycle races and tours.   She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church of Roswell.

Cleta is survived by three children and their spouses;  Steve and Emma Russell of Roswell, NM, Marilyn and Frank Hulsey of Grand Prairie, TX, and David Russell of Roswell, NM.   She is also survived by three grandchildren and their spouses;  Cissy and David Chavez of Floresville, TX,  Tosha and Troy Jones of Texas City, TX, Nicholas and Deanne Russell, of Roswell, NM. Five great-grandchildren;  Julia and Brandon Russell of Roswell, NM,  Anastasia Daliege of Albuquerque, NM, Gabriela and Izabela Chavez of Floresville, TX.  She recently became a great-great-grandmother to Ava Pineda of Albuquerque, NM.  Cleta is also survived by ex-husband/partner Ralph Coen.  Cleta was preceded in death by one sister Florene Melton.

The family will have a private service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the charity of your choice.

The family would like to extend thanks to Cleta's dear friends Angie, Lee, Jackie and Vivian and her church family for their years of friendship. A special thanks to Pastor Jason Perry for his outstanding sacrifice of time, effort and support.
