Carolyn Faye Tapley Weems passed away peacefully in her home in Roswell, NM, on February 25, 2024. Carolyn was born on July 31, 1945, in Temple, TX, to loving parents, Clifford and Wanda Tapley. Carolyn's life was a testament to compassion, dedication, and a deep love for those around her.

Throughout her professional career, Carolyn served as a beacon of care and comfort to countless individuals as both a dental assistant and a nurse. Her gentle touch and empathetic nature left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Carolyn found immense joy in cultivating the beauty of nature through her passion for gardening. She found solace and contentment among the blooms and foliage.

Traveling held a special place in Carolyn's heart, and she cherished the opportunity to explore new places and cultures with her beloved husband, David Weems, with whom she married on November 23, 2007. Together, they created memories that will be treasured for years to come.

Carolyn's legacy of love and devotion lives on through her surviving family members, including her devoted husband, David Weems; her brother, Gary Tapley and wife Beverly; her children, Bret Clark and wife Kathy, Shannon Clark and ex-wife Kim, John Raymer and wife Kris, Frances Walker and husband J.R., Richard Raymer, David Weems II and wife Delia, Kimberlee Conte and husband Frank, Daniel Weems and wife Tamra, Trina Salmon; her grandchildren, Austin, Savannah, Chelsea, Bronson, JT, Khrysten, Tia, Mike, Josh, Justin, Matthew, Camryn, Frankie, Nic, Charlotte; her great-grandchildren, Lilly, Riley, Alex, Logan, Rolan, Luka, Cooper, Greyson, Hudson; lifelong friend, Susie Clark; great friends, Anne, Bobby, Claudine, Paula; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Wanda Tapley; her stepdad, Wade Bishop and stepmom, Dorothy Bishop; and aunt, Dorothy Martel.

In accordance with Carolyn's compassionate and giving nature, she made the selfless decision to donate her body to science, a final act of generosity that embodies her lifelong dedication to helping others. Through this noble gesture, Carolyn will continue to contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge and the education of future healthcare professionals. Her legacy of care and service will live on as her invaluable gift continues to make a profound impact in the fields of research and education.

Carolyn's warm smile, kind heart, and compassion will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she may have left this world, her spirit will forever remain a source of inspiration and love in the hearts of those she touched.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to their charity of choice in Carolyn's honor.

A celebration of Carolyn's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Christ’s Church located at 2200 N Sycamore Ave, Roswell, NM 88201. All who knew and loved Carolyn are invited to join in commemorating her remarkable journey and the profound impact she made on the lives of so many.
