Carol L. Henry of Roswell passed away on Sunday, October 8th, 2023.

Carol was born September 3rd, 1928 in Quincy, Illinois to Benjamin and Lucille Baker Jefferson.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, brother John and husband Don. Survivors include her sister Nedda Simon of Princeton, Illinois, her children Linda Crowder with husband Dave of Wadsworth, Ohio, Michael Henry with wife Diane of Austin, TX, Brenda White of Roswell, NM, and 'adopted' daughter Patti Clo Wilcox with husband Marty of Phoenix, AZ.  Survivors also include multiple nieces and nephews, and her grandchildren: James Forsyth with wife Raegan of Ohio, Michael Forsyth with wife Celeste of Ohio, Allison Alford with husband Jon of Texas, Megan Stein with husband Travis of Texas, Dustin White with husband Paul of New Mexico, Lindsay White with husband Logan of New Mexico, Angie Walker with husband Mike of Ohio, Amy Hastie of Ohio and• nineteen great-grandchildren: Braiden, Camden, Chase, Ryan, Sam, Luke, Ben, Micheal, Henry, Edward, Cameron, Colby, Tyler, Ethan, Justin, Jillian, McKenzie, Madison, and Makayla.

Carol was an adventurous woman, singing in a band before meeting her husband Don and moving to the American Southwest. She was a devout Catholic and attended Saint Peters Church in Roswell. Having been a resident of Roswell since 1961, she and her husband raised their family proudly in New Mexico. Retiring from Sears after 24 years, she loved her customers and made numerous friends throughout the community. Since retiring Carol volunteered for many organizations including the famous UFO Museum in Downtown Roswell, and she belonged to the Ladies Golf Club of Spring River and the Red Hat Ladies. In 2007 Carol moved to Austin, TX for several years, then Palm Springs, CA and eventually back to Roswell. Being the active woman she was, she made friends wherever she went. Carol was loved and loved greatly by her family and friends, enjoyed entertaining, and was the very definition of a Lady.
