Bob Carlton

Bobby "Bob" Lee Carlton, age 78, of Roswell went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 22, 2016. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. April 25, 2016 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. April 26, 2016 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel; burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Aaron Colyer of First Baptist Church.

Bob was born to Clergie Franklin Carlton and Helen Elvera Hudson Carlton on January 12, 1938 in Harlingen, Texas. He married the love of his life Patricia "Pat" Leota Hubbard November 16, 1956 in Roswell, New Mexico. Bob was a graduate of Roswell High School. He worked for the Transwestern Pipeline/Enron for 27 years. He had a strong belief in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, he was a man of integrity and honesty, as well a man of his word. Bob was an avid golfer, a strong competitor, and loved football; especially the Green Bay Packers. Bob was a member of the First Baptist Church; a 33rd Degree Mason, Lodge No. 18; a member of the B.P.O.E., Lodge No. 969; and a lifetime Green Bay Packer Fan club member. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, Papaw, and family man. Bob touched the lives of many loved ones and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, by his son Steven Keith Carlton, and by his sister Helen Marlene Carlton.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Patricia "Pat" Carlton of the home; sons Bobby Dean Carlton of Trophy Club, TX; Teddy Neal Carlton of Lees Summit, MO; daughters Patricia Jeanine Harper of Perryton, TX; Deborah Dawn Smith of Artesia, NM; brother Clergie Dale Carlton of Roswell, NM; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Allan Carlton, Brandon Kyle Harper, David Chayne Smith, Lance Avery Smith, Christopher Michael Carlton, and Jacob Daniel Carlton.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles W. Hubbard, Dr. Hamid Feroze, Troy C. Carlton, Clergy Dale Carlton, and Dick Shangraw.
