CLARK, ARTHUR EUGENE GENEServices are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, September 15, 2006 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Arthur Eugene Clark, age 58, of Roswell, who passed away, September 12, 2006. Dr. Onsy Whicker will officiate. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Gene was born January 13, 1948 in Roswell, New Mexico to Geraldine and Bernard A. Clark

Gene is survived by his mother: Geraldine Clark; a brother: Charles Clark and his wife Connie both of Roswell; a sister: Denise Dwyer and her husband James of Tigerton, WI; he is also survived by a niece: Shawna Clark of Roswell; a nephew: Michael Clark of Virginia Beach, VA, Darryl Posey of Flushing, MI, and Sterling Stark of Tigerton, WI and their families, numerous aunts, cousins and friends.

Gene was preceded in death by his father: Bernard A. Clark, and a brother Gerard Clark.

Gene attended Roswell Schools and graduated from New Mexico School for the Visually Handicapped in Alamogordo, NM, where he was Student body President. He attended UTEP in El Paso, TX.

As a salesman, he lived in El Paso and Albuquerque, working for Lipton and Ralston Purina. Later on he represented wholesale grocery brokers throughout New Mexico. His wit and sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew him. Every endeavor he under took, was with high energy. In the past, Gene loved to skeet shooting and fishing . As his vision declined and his world got smaller, he became an avid NASCAR fan, gardener, and cook. His green chile stew was enjoyed by all.

Pallbearers will be Tom Hargrove, Bill Roberts, Craig Sutherland, Stu Hanson, Terry Turner and Rory McMinn. Honorary Pallbearers are Bobby Wagner, Jay and Carrie Hollifield and Merle Anderson..

Memorials can be made to the New Mexico School for the Visually Handicapped in Alamogordo, New Mexico.
