Anselmo Montoya

Anselmo Montoya passed away on January 21, 2026, in Roswell, NM at the age of 99. He was born on September 20, 1926, in Glencoe, NM to Teodoro and Bersabe Montoya. Anselmo was married to Maria Montoya. Anselmo served in the US Army and loved to fish. Anselmo is preceded in death by his wife Maria, parents Teodoro and Bersabe, siblings; Emelia Montes, Alvesa Sanches and Candido Montoya. Anselmo is survived by his brother Monroy Montoya (Gerty) and several nieces and nephews. Burial and Honor Guard is scheduled for Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 10:30 am, at Fort Stanton Veterans Cemetery.
