Anne Worthington Huff died peacefully at age 89 on October 1, 2021
Anne is preceded in death by parents Alphonsine and Dr. William Worthington, husband Hugh Marc Huff Ill. Survived by daughters Kathryn Huff Samuelson and husband Scott, Sara Huff Hall and husband Steve. Grandchildren Annie Sturtevant (Jacob), Kaylee Anne Hall (Angela) and Anthony Hall (Ashton) and great grandchildren Lauren, Colton, Alia, Mara and Tessa. Survived by her sister Linda Packard and husband Frank and brother William Worthington and wife JoAnne. Survived by brother-in-law Robert Huff and wife Vianne.
Anne was born in Roswell and graduated from Roswell High. After graduating from the University of Colorado she married Hugh Marc and they were stationed in Germany with the Army for 3 years. During this time, she traveled through a lot of Europe. They moved back to the United States to Fort Hood, Texas and then they moved to Roswell. Anne loved to read, learn new things and travel. She went back to Eastern New Mexico University where she earned her master's degree in Speech Pathology. She worked at Pecos Elementary for years and during this time brought speech and art to her students. After she retired, she enjoyed going to Elderhostel's by herself and with her grandchildren traveling locally and abroad. She was a docent at the Roswell Museum and Art Center where she loved sharing her love and knowledge of art and history. She earned many medals at the Chaves County and New Mexico Senior Games.
Per her request there will be no funeral. Donations can be made to the
Alzheimer's Association. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff of Comfort Keepers, Heartfelt Manor and Kindred Hospice for their loving care
