Alex Garcia

Alex James Garcia, age 29, of Roswell, NM went home to his heavenly father on April 16, 2021 in Las Cruces, NM. He was born to the home of Benjamin and Sherry Kazhe-Garcia on August 9, 1991 in Alamogordo, NM.

Alex is preceded in death by his father Benjamin Garcia; Grandparents Elfin Garcia, MaryAnn Kazhe, Gene H. Kazhe Sr; Great Grandparents Eulalio and Eufracia Garcia and Vicente and Sylvestra Barrera; aunts Gloria Garcia Sedillo, Angie Garcia Sanchez, Sally Garcia Bara, and uncle Elfin Garcia Jr.

Alex was a loving husband, father, and son. He was a great friend with a kind heart and quick to give to those friends and family whom he loved. Alex loved the lowrider life and spending quality time with friends and family. He had a beautiful smile that could light up a room. Alex was not one to judge and welcomed everyone with an open heart. He was a proud member of the Mescalero Apache Tribe.

Alex is survived by his loving wife Maria Jazmin Lujan; son Benny Garcia; daughters Alexis Garcia and Andrea Garcia; mother Sherry Kazhe-Garcia; brother Benjamin Garcia Lang; Grandmother Mary Louise Garcia; father and mother-in-law Joel and Gracie Lujan; brother-in-laws Joel Lujan Jr and Jesse Lujan. He is also survived by aunts Beatrice Garcia Medrano, Betty Garcia Gamboa, Esther Garcia, Mida Gonzales Escalante and family, Eva and Pete Villareal, and Jessica Delagado and husband Abel; uncles Frankie Garcia and wife Denna, Gene Hanson Francis Kazhe Jr and family, Christopher Kazhe and family, Michael Gonzales and family, Ezekiel Ornelas and wife Christy, and Jamie Ornelas and son Dakoda.

Visitation for Alex will be from 6:00-8:00pm on Wednesday April 21, 2021 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Thursday April 22, 2021 at Church on the Move in Roswell. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Leroy Prudencio, Isaac Molinar, Arthur Marquez, Eric Velasquez, Juan Alfaro, and Armando Molinar Garcia Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Alex’s many friends and family members from Mescalero and Roswell that he met along his life journey.

The family wishes to thank the families of Loretta Ponce, Jessica Mendoza, Larry Dutchover, Arthur Marquez, and Emilio Olivas as well as childhood friends for the love, kindness, and support during this time.
