ADAM DUTCHOVER- Adam Dutchover, age 75, went to be with our Lord on June, 28, 2018. Adam was born on December 24, 1942 in Hagerman, NM.
Adam is preceded in death by his Father Adam Dutchover, Sr., Mother, Annie Romero, Step-father, Juan Romero and First wife Lydia (Vigil) Dutchover.
Adam is survived by his wife Fidela Dutchover of Roswell, NM; Daughters, Jennifer (David) Hampton of Roswell NM, and Stephanie Hoover of Roswell NM; Step-son James (Terri) Salas of Dexter NM; Sisters, Esther (Joe) Aguinaga of Cypress, CA, Elsie Orona of Roswell NM, and Nina Blakeley of Carlsbad, NM; Adam was blessed with 7 beautiful grandchildren; Jonathan Hampton, Hayley Hampton, Parker Adam Hampton, Logan Hoover, Makenzie Hoover, Kayla Salas, Emily Salas and numerous nieces and nephews.
Adam was always a hard-worker. He had numerous odd - and-end jobs growing up, including working at Drikes Grocery Store. He was a volunteer firefighter and an Eagle Scout. Adam had a passion for the outdoors, woodworking, camping, horseback-riding, hunting, leather-tooling, and rock and arrowhead hunting. Adam spent many of his summers with his Grandparents in the Hondo Valley area. Adam graduated from Hagerman High School. He was one of the top basketball players and was also on the track and field team throughout high school.
Adam married Lydia M. Vigil in 1963. They had 2 daughters, Jennifer and Stephanie. They were married for 40 years before she passed away in 2004.
After Adam became a Christian in his late twenties, God became the center of everything in his life. He helped to build Burrea Baptist Church (a bilingual mission church). He was a Sunday school teacher and music leader. In 1986 he became an ordained Deacon at Calvary Baptist Church and later became a Gideon. He was an active member of First Baptist Church upon his passing. His greatest joy was leading others to Christ.
After 15 years of working as a Meat-Cutter, he pursued a career in Prosthetics and Orthotics. He received his degree in Orthotics from UCLA and in Prosthetics from North Western University in Chicago. He was the owner of NM Prosthetic Orthotic Center of Roswell for 47 years. During his career he achieved the status of Fellow American Academy of Orthotics and Prosthetics. Adam loved what he did and he loved serving his patients.
In 2006, Adam married Fidela (Fela) Salas. They were married for 12 years.
Adam was a member of the Roswell Rotary Club for more than 20 years. He was an avid Gunsman. He loved Western movies; his favorite being John Wayne. Adam was loved and cherished by all of his friends and family.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday, July 5, 2018 at La Grone Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 6, 2018; at Calvary Baptist Church, 1009 W Alameda St, Roswell, NM 88203. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Richard Smith.
Family meal will be held at the First Baptist Church 500 N Pennsylvania Ave, Roswell, NM 99201.
