A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Robert Udell Blair, age 87, who passed away July 10, 2012. Rev. Richard Smith of Highland Baptist Church will officiate.

Robert was born on February 19, 1925 in Haskell County, Texas to Earl and Alverine Blair. They have both preceded him in death.

He married Louise Ford-Lucas on December 12, 1987 in Roswell. She survives him.

He is also survived by two sons: David Blair and Bobby Blair, and his wife Sharon, all from the Washington, D.C. area; sister: Lola Duff of Decorah, Iowa; step-mother: Nona Blair of Roswell; and four grandchildren: Jason Blair, Lori Calloway, Kelsey Blair, and Patrick Blair.

He was a heavy equipment operator and of the Baptist faith.
