Wanda Pack, age 78, of Roswell passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017. Visitation 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the Waymaker Church, 202 S. Sunset, Roswell, NM. Pastor Mark Green and Pastor Rick Rapp will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Pack Family Cemetery.
Wanda Jean Pack was born in Roswell, New Mexico on December 1, 1938 to Loyd and Hazel "Pat" Green. Wanda was the second of three children. She attended school in Roswell and also attended Southwestern Assemblies of God Bible School in Waxahachie, Texas.
Wanda lived in Roswell most of her life and married her high school sweetheart, Jimmy Don Pack, on August 31, 1956. Together, they sang in the Harvester Choir at Southwestern and served in several areas of ministry at First Assembly of God Church, including music, youth, and Sunday school for many years.
Wanda was always a loving and deeply devoted wife and mother. She was cherished by her family and dearly loved by all who knew her.
When Wanda and Jimmy were looking for a symbol to represent their farm, Wanda came up with the idea of Diamond Heart Farms. A diamond heart is symbolic of love and the beautiful prism of light shining out on the world. This is a prefect description of Wanda herself. Initially you were drawn to the outward beauty as she was always dressed in impeccable fashion, but it was that pure prism of light, love, kindness and joy that made you not only want to know her, but to be more like her.
Words will fail to convey just how precious she truly was. Devoted, sweet, affectionate, caring, fun, generous, and beautiful inside and out. She was truly a diamond heart!
Truly an angel of God's love, she had a unique gift for making every occasion sparkle with beauty, warmth and love. Birthdays and holidays in her home were such beautiful celebrations; Wanda had that gift of making everyone feel that they were uniquely special to her.
Wanda was accomplished musically and artistically. She enjoyed singing, playing the piano, organ and the accordion. She created amazing works of china painting. Everything she touched was beautifully decorated and is a treasure trove of her memory.
She always wanted her heart to reflect Christ's love and prayed daily for others and gave generously to causes she believed in. Wanda was a lifelong student of the Word of God and delighted in sharing and in searching out the deep things of the Bible. Her Bible was worn, highlighted, tattered and noted from many years of prayerful use and is an example of the phrase, "A Bible that is falling apart belongs to a person who is not."
Wanda was preceded in death by her father Loyd Green, mother Hazel "Pat" Green, brother Marshall Green and granddaughter Krystle Dawn Stephenson.
Wanda will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband Jimmy Pack, daughter Twyla Pack, son Gary Pack and wife Nance, son David Pack and wife Stephanie, grandchildren Heather Stephens, Shiloh Breedyk and husband Justin, Logan Pack and wife Michelle, Caleb Pack and wife Grace, Lyric Pack, Zoe and Justus Pack, great grandchildren Rylan, Jude, Harley and their father Lucas Ruiz, Elijah, Zyon and their father Landon Stephenson, Sophie and Harper Pack, Ellen "Tootsie" Green (wife of Loyd Green) and her daughter Jackie Waggoner and husband Terry, sister-in-law Anna Green (wife of Marshall Green), brother Jack Green and wife Mary and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
To Wanda's family, Our thoughts and prayers have been with all of you since the great loss of Wanda. May God's blessing be overflowing in your healing and peace. Paul and Connie Holstun

The obituary for Wanda is lovely. Lovely is one of many sweet words that describe Wanda. My first memories of Wanda are from when I was 10 or 11. She was my Sunday School teacher in the Junior Girls class at First Assembly of God. What a shining example she was to all of us! Soon after that, as a young teen, I remember her as our Missionettes leader &/or choir director. There was a hayride or 2 to hers & Jimmy's farm, a Christmas party one year at their house in town, visits after church... After I was injured, she made it her mission to be a special friend to me, coming to visit, taking me out to eat, taking me to her house, bringing useful & beautiful gifts, encouraging me in every way she could, being a true friend. Best of all, she gave me another life-time friend when she brought her beloved niece, Marsha, along with her to visit & share time & great fellowship together. Another precious memory is of Wanda & Jimmy singing duet specials at church. One song they sang, (& I think it was the first time I had ever heard it) is "Down From His Glory"! That song impressed me deeply & still plays in my heart & mind to this day. The Lord has now called Wanda up into His glory to be forever near Him, to sing His praises with loved ones there before her... to wait for the rest of us. May there be for those of you closest to her, memories coming clearly to you that will soften your tears with smiles... & even laughter, as you recall her laughter. Wanda is fully with her Lord & He is with you so the separation cannot be as far as it may seem. Jimmy, Twyla, Gary, David, Marsha & the rest of your family, you are in our thoughts & prayers right beside our memories of your Lady Wanda.
Lovingly, Elaine Lee Wallen &

Wanda was such a precious lady and always so kind and friendly to all. Her physical beauty was only exceeded by her spiritual beauty, inside and out. She will no doubt leave a huge hole in the hearts of her friends and family. God bless you, Pack family. My prayers are with you for His Holy Spirit to comfort and heal your grieving hearts.

There are not adequate words to express the loving way that was Wanda. When we visited, she always made me feel that I was the most important person to her. Her husband, children and grandchildren posses this love for others too. Never did I hear a negative word come out of her mouth, and there were times she could have been angry, or hurt, but her reaction was always one of love and caring. Much to learn from this great lady. I will miss Wanda so much, but for a while. Soon and very soon we are going to see our King Jesus.

No other person I know represented Christ more than Wanda. So beautiful inside and out. She influenced my children for Christ and gave of herself in many ways. I will miss her dearly.
